Competition Guideline

Introduction:

Welcome to SIMDI The 'DealMakers'. This Sales competition aims to foster innovation, boost sales performance, and recognize the outstanding efforts of our team. Please review the guidelines to ensure smooth and successful competition experience.

Objectives

● Encourage creativity and innovation in sales strategies.
● Motivate SIMDI representatives to achieve and exceed targets.
● Foster collaboration and teamwork within our team.
● Identify and reward top-performing individuals/teams.
● Boost the self-confidence of our team
● To enhance overall sales performance by providing a platform for our team to showcase their skills effectively and drive improved sales results.
● Generate excitement and engagement within the organization.

The following guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful competition experience.

Competition Overview

Participants: All SIMDI Staff are eligible to participate in teams of two.
Judges: A panel of experienced judges will evaluate the pitches (2 internal and 1 invitational judge)
Rounds: This competition will have two rounds. The best teams in round one will be competing in round 2.
Prizes: Exciting prizes will be awarded to the top performers.
Timeline: The competition will take place during the month of July and August 2024 with specific dates for submission, pitch sessions, and winner announcement.

1.1 Rules and Criteria

● All SIMDI staff are eligible to participate.
● A team of a maximum of 2 staff can participate in this competition.
● Participants must adhere to the competition guidelines and deadlines.

1.2 Submission Requirements:

● Participants must submit a written proposal outlining their sales idea or strategy.
● Proposals should include key details such as target market, value proposition, sales approach, and anticipated outcomes.

ROUND 1:

● A team of a maximum of 2 staff can participate in this competition.
● For round one, you can pitch in about any of the products or services that the SIMDI group markets and trades.

Consultation Period

● Consultation period will be allocated for you to allow you to enquire more, fact-find, or ask the consultation panel for any information that you require. There will be no more consultation sessions thereafter and no additional information will be provided. The consultation session will be for a maximum of 10 mins.
●After the consultation session, with the added information, you will need to prepare your final pitch or presentation slides, along with any other supporting documents, and submit them to sales.competition@simdi.com

PITCH SESSIONS

● Presentation should include key details such as target market, value proposition, sales approach, and anticipated outcomes.
● Participants will have 30 mins to present their pitches to the judging panel.
● Presentations should be concise, persuasive, and well-prepared.
● Visual aids such as slides and or product samples are encouraged.

ROUND 2:

● The selection criteria will be refined following the completion of the 1st round qualifiers.

1.3 Pitch Sessions

1.4 Evaluation Criteria:

● Creativity and Innovation• Sales Strategy Effectiveness• Presentation Quality• Potential Impact on Sales Performance.

1.5 Judging Process:

● Judges will evaluate each presentation based on the established criteria.• Scores will be tallied to determine the winners.

1.6 Confidentiality:

● Participants must ensure that any proprietary or confidential information shared during the competition is protected.

Training and Support

● Participants will have access to resources to help them prepare for the competition.• Coaching sessions and feedback will be provided to participants upon request.

Prizes

1st Place:
Gold Medal with Educational / Exposure trip abroad with Executive team.
2nd Place: Silver Medal with recognition.
3rd Place: Bronze Medal with recognition.
