SIMDI Company had held a fair at Baa.Atoll Eydafushi in association with the Eydafushi Women's Development Committee from 24th to 26th March 2009. The fair was held at Baa,Eydafushi, Youth Centre and displayed a wide selection of items sold at SIMDI Group, namely IMM, SIMDI Office Automation , S&D Division, And also joined by technical personnel from its service entities SIMTEC,SIMDI Bonded and RESU.

Fair was declared opened on 24th March at 1200hrs by the Island Counselor Mr.Mohamed Habeeb at a small get-together attended by senior officials of the government offices, NGO's and business personnel from the atoll. Whilst opening, the fair counselor mentioned that this is the first of its kind to be held at Eydafushi and it gives a great pleasure to him to open the fair.

Mr. Irash who was the fair coordinator and Manager - HR and Development of SIMDI Group also spoke at the opening and told the aim of the fair is to expose SIMDI as a household name and let the community know what we sell and about us, he also mentioned that this is the beginning of a series of fairs which will be held at different parts of Maldives and thanked the WDC and the community of Eydafushi for the support and cooperation.

SIMDI Recreation and Social Club also joined the Fair team and actively participated in organizing the fair, in addition they held a tree donation programme to enhance the greenery of the island, in this there were 13 plants presented to women's committee , as one tree from each member.
